Yoga expert at Beanstalk, Ms Shama Singh is a post graduate Exercise Physiology and Yoga from the Bihar School of Yoga.

Yoga is a practice that affects every aspect of Shama’s life both on and off the mat. Shama has been practicing yoga since she was 4 and teaching since 1990. An instructor of many modalities during adulthood her yoga practice is what has brought her the greatest sense of aliveness in her body and life. Amazed and inspired by the changes yoga brings to the body, mind and spirit, Shama has travelled many destinations teaching yoga.

She is dedicated to creating an environment of compassion, permission, acceptance and patience, guiding each individual in the experience of being present in their practice and their life. She brings a strong sense of self and humor to her teaching.

Developed by Shama Singh in tandem with Beanstalk Team, this unique and powerful system of yoga affects the body like no other form of exercise. By using ancient yogic techniques (asanas, pranayama, bandhas, kriyas), partner stretches along with cardiovascular training, works on the human body at every level - the physical level, where flexibility, strength and endurance are the primary goal, to the mental and spiritual levels where awareness of the body, alertness and meditation work closely to bring about a complete transformation.

It’s suitable for any person irrespective of age, strength and flexibility. It helps in stress relief, weight loss, body toning, gastric relief, alleviates backache and increases energy.

While yoga normal style makes you work out the entire body, yoga artistically helps you concentrate on a single body part. A regular session begins with a warm-up and stretching. It's followed by a rigorous 40-minute regimen for the specific body part you want to concentrate on.

It is a dynamic system of exercise that uses an improvised and spontaneous approach that is fun, enjoyable and at the same time focused. is suitable for a person of any age and any level of strength or flexibility. It is a technique that works especially well for people who have little or no knowledge of Yoga and cannot perform difficult postures.
